Fall 2010 Newsletter: Blessings Upon Blessings
What a Blessing it is to serve Him together with you. Our new website is up now and it is GREAT! Check it out at www.canetwork.org. Be sure and watch the new video that was shown at Cowboys Stadium where Cornerstone was honored with The Neighborhood Builders Award from Bank of America. It is only 5 minutes long but the blessing of knowing you are helping change lives will carry on for eternity for thousands like Keneth and Zack.
The Medical Clinic is being expanded thanks to a grant from Texas Health Resources, HCA, Baylor/All Saints and the Methodist Health Systems. The eye clinic is making progress as well as the dental clinic.
Our New Creations Program for mentoring women being released from Dawson State Jail and returning to Tarrant County came on line October 1st. Be sure and read about that in Kelly Purselley's article.
The Cornerstone Christian Women's Job Corp is having record numbers of participants and graduates. There were 61 people at the graduation on October 14th.
GED classes have been having 15 or more for months now, and ESL continues to grow each month.
Staff just returned from two days of planning for 2011. One thing we really need is for you to be a fried to those we serve by volunteering in one of our programs. We have training and you will really be Blessed by walking with those that are working hard to claim the hope and joy of Christ. Please get in touch with Kristen Horton about helping out. She can be reached at 817-632-6000 extension 122.
God is really at work here at Cornerstone and as Dr. Henry Blackaby says in Experiencing God, "find out where God is working and join Him." You and those you serve will be Blessed!
In Him,
Mike Doyle
